One of the biggest Bank notes ever!

One of the biggest Bank notes with denomination of 60 Baht was issued by Thailand on 5th December, 1987 to commemorate the 60th birth day of the KING BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ known as RAMA IXth.

It is printed in pink and green and shows the King seated on a high throne with ceremonial robes and surrounded by the trappings of monarchy. On the reverse of the note the King with his wife and children are chatting to a huge crowd of Thai people. The Note measures 159mm X 159mm. This measurement was significant- that it was the first note of its kind (1), the King was entering the 5th cycle of his life (5) and the King is Rama IX (9).

BAMRA STATE ONE PICE CASH COUPON.

During World War II British Government faced severe crunch of metallic supplies. The worst effect was supply of coins especially in small change. The situation became worse; so many princely states of India, some of them tiny and insignificant issued Cash Coupons to manage the emergency and serious crunch in small denomination coin. Bamra State a tiny “A” class Feudatory state renown as stamp issuing state around the world from 1888 to 1894 was the only state of the Eastern States Agency to issue a Cash Coupon during 1944 which was valid till 1945. The Cash Coupon is having a Facsimile signature of the last ruler Raja Bhanuganga Tribhuban Dev to authenticate the genuinity of the Cash Coupon.
